Let's get healthy!

Hello guys,

How are you? Hope your new year is going well!

I'm back on the health train with a vengeance this year! Last year I was pathetic in my attempt to lose weight but fear not my friends this year you'll see a whole new Bex!

I'm 29 years young this June and I'm going to imats this year!! So I want to look my best. Now I'm not saying fat chicks can't wear makeup or be seen at a 'fashionable' event but for me personally? I just don't feel comfortable.

One of the main reasons I never attended any blogger meet ups last year was due to feeling super self conscious which in hindsight is silly but the brain is a weird yet powerful thing that can make you feel funny things...

That being said I'm determined to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new things. If you read my previous post you'll know I'm setting myself mini goals each month and I think socialising is a big thing I need to work on.

So far this year is going good. I'm following a low carb plan and with extra veg it's keeping me full. I'm also making a big effort to drink more water. This will flush out my system, hydrate my skin which is badly in need and stop me attacking the biscuit barrel when I 'think' I'm hungry.

  1. Have you tried Slimming World regarding you wanting to loose weight babe? I tried it and lost so much weight healthy so quickly! It's awesome :)

  2. Your diary is very cute! I feel like even when I am motivated in other areas, I will never truly be motivated enough to get fit and healthy. Sigh. I hope this is not the case. I know I need to just start but it's obviously tougher than it seems.

    I'm happy you're embracing your comfortable zone. You should mark your fitness goals in your diary and monitor your progress! I think embracing who you are is beautiful and regardless of your weight or anything else I'm sure you'll be accepted at any event!

  4. Such a cute diary! I think it's a great idea stepping outside your comfort zone and doing things that challenge and scare you. I set myself 12 monthly challenges and one of them (for whichever month I pick it out the jar) is to do something that challenges or scares me every day for a month - I really hope it makes me realise that some things just aren't as scary as they initially seem!

    You've definitely got the right attitude - YOU CAN DO THIS!!

  5. I wish you luck with your weight loss hun I for one know how difficult it can be to stick to a healthy eating plan and get yourself fit again. But I also know that once you succeed the world really is your oyster and you can achieve anything. I know how weirdly your brain can act and can hinder you from achieving anything. It's very powerful but you should try to use that power for good. I wish you the best of luck lovely xoxoxoxo
