Weigh in Woes

Hey guys,

So not to be a Debbie downer but feeling abit blah. I got weighed yesterday and I've only lost 1lb :(

April has been a funny month. Whilst I survived Easter chocolate, I gave in to birthday cake pressure. Yes I know that's my own fault *sigh*

I had 6 birthdays this month! I'm totally skint by the way and not because I went crazy in Boots either unfortunately! Haha.

Anyway come weigh day I was mortified to see only 1lb loss after 4 weeks! I mean I'd had a few nibbles but that bad?

Then I took stock of what I'd done over April. Less exercise, less water and portion sizes slowly (or not so slowly) increasing, not to mention the deliciousness that is birthday cake. It all adds up and thus maybe 1lb lost is actually pretty good.

In the end this journey isn't about an end game. It's not about completing a level and defeating the boss at the end. 

This is a continual lifestyle, yes I will get to a weight I'm comfortable with, yes I will finally get the courage to join a gym (sweating in front of fit peeps scares me!) and yes I will continue to be a healthier me but it doesn't stop. This will continue throughout my life. This is my lifestyle now.

Will I have more bumps on the road? Yes
Will I want to scream and shout like a toddler wanting biscuits? Probably ;)
The odd blip is human but the point is to never stop trying! Again you never fail, unless you stop trying! 

Now I'm off to get myself focused and ready to kick May's arse! It's my birthday on the 7th June and I'm going to be celebrating a good loss! With a chicken salad of course ;D haha!

  2. This is such a good post.. I've started working out again recently and often get annoyed when I don't achieve certain goals. I guess it all comes with time, we just have to be patient!

    My birthday is on June the 15th... I hope I don't have too much cake haha.
