Ergh Exercise and Birthday Cake

Hey guys,

So almost time for my May weigh in. I'm not looking forwards to it! I've been slacking off big time :(

I think starting this journey I expected a miracle. Not fully appreciating that this takes time, it takes commitment and a lot of blood, sweat and tears!

Yes, life will through you a curve ball or in my case numerous birthday cakes (I'm weak!) but it's not about being perfect 100% as that is unattainable and you will crack!

It's about making the best choices you can. Will you celebrate special occasions? Yes. Will you be tempted with sugary goodies? Yes. But you don't have to be a slave to your cravings.

I want to get to the point where I can have a bloody good boogie at a family party without scoping out the buffet first.

It's my birthday on the 7th June. I turn 28! *cue dark and deep music whilst I cry into my soup* and obviously I'm going to enjoy myself. Let's be real people, it's my day to splurge with food and beauty stuff! Haha.

But on the Monday after my birthday?? This girl is getting her act together! Sorting out portion sizes (they've been increasing! Oops!), drinking more water (I'm not getting enough at all) and I'm going to focus on my exercise and fitness *shudders* which after walking my dogs today, has really, really declined!! 
I'm ready to get mentally back in the game and sort out the physical one walk, one salad and one bottle of water at a time!

Anyway, thanks for reading! Raising my cup of green tea! 'Let's do this!'

  2. Aw Bex you're still doing so well with or without slip ups! I agree that it's hard to resist all the sweet temptations but your motivation will definitely help! You can definitely do it, we're all behind you! :) xx
